Globally distributed magazine “Distance Running” in his current issue brings an extensive material about the history and impending anniversary of the Košice Peace Marathon. Magazine, which is the official publication of AIMS and IAAF, is printed with an edition of 400,000 copies and gets to the runners, organizers, sponsors and journalists all around the world as a source of information about events in the marathon movement. Let us recall that Košice Peace Marathon became a member of AIMS and official IAAF event in early nineties of the last century. Few years later Košice became the scene of two major events in these associations. In 1997 it was the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and in 1999 the 12th World Congress of AIMS.
