Paul Hempel

THREE STARTS – TWO VICTORIES
This acknowledged German athlete from the club SC Charlottenburg in Berlin ranked among the
absolute athletic elite in Europe. In Czechoslovakia on 28th Sep. 1924 he took part in the marathon
on the course Prague – Středokluky – Prague, and won with a time of 2h52m34.2s. He died on 27
Jan.1950.
